£30,866 – £36,135 plus 15% weekend shift allowance
39 hours per week

Working pattern:

Saturday – Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00
Friday: 08:00 – 16:00
1 in 3 weekends (rota)
15% allowance for weekend working

The role:
Join a stable, long-term contract at HMP Risley, working as part of a facilities team delivering essential maintenance across the prison. This is a single-site role with good structure, job security and a supportive team environment.

What you’ll be doing:

General joinery repairs (doors, windows, fixtures, bespoke work)
Running the workshop (equipment checks, inspections, housekeeping)
Measuring jobs and quoting works
Ordering materials and managing stock

What we’re looking for:

Level 3 Carpentry & Joinery (Level 2 considered with experience)
Maintenance or FM background preferred
Confident using tools and working at height (ladders)
Good attention to detail

Security clearance required:

Prison security clearance + Standard DBS (full support provided)
